Lanai
Shipwreck
Beach is one of the most interesting beaches that you will
visit.
It's on the island of Lana, a short ferry ride from Lahaina
Harbor in Lahaina Town on the west side of Maui.
The
best beach on the island of
Lanai is Hulopoe
Beach on the south side of the island. In fact, it's just
a short walk from the harbor at Manele Bay.
Take

Black
Rock is on the west side of Maui, and offers one of the best
places to snorkel and see the incredible underwater sealife.
Black Rock is located on the north side of the Kaanapali
Beach Resort area and is oceanside to the Sheraton
Maui Resort & Spa.
It's ideal for both beginning and advanced snorkelers.
The
waters are very calm in the morning hours, the beach and snorkel
area are often very crowded, but there is a spectacular view
of the Hawaiian islands of Lanai and Molokai. Black Rock is
the one place on Maui where you'll always see underwater sealife
such as fish and an occasional Green Turtle!
Hawaii's
native Humpback Whales start arriving in late October of each
year, with January through March being the some of the best
months for whale watching on Maui. Each year, thousands of
Humpback Whales
make one
of the longest migrations of any mammal on the planet, to
give birth and mate in the warm Hawaiian waters.
Maui
is one of the best places in the world to see Humpback Whales
close-up and they can be seen from just about any location
on the west side of the island. The Humpback Whales love the
relatively shallow waters between the the four islands of
Maui, Lanai, Molokai, and Kahoolawe.
In what might be one of the most incredible conservation
stories of recent years, Hawaii's endangered Humpback Whale
is growing in population.
Maui
offers some of the best and most unique snorkeling in the
world. The island is famous for calm, crystal-clear waters
with excellent visibility
and an abundance of underwater sealife.
Honolua
Bay on the west side of Maui is one of the most scenic views
on the island. The lookout above the bay is spectacular. Honolua
Bay is also one of the best snorkeling locations on Maui.
There
is good visibility underwater, and there is an abundance of
sealife.
It's
common to see Hawaii's endangered Giant Sea Turtles, affectionately
called Honu by the Hawaiians and locals.
Honolua
Bay does not have a sandy beach. Instead, the shoreline
is very rocky and difficult to traverse. This is a beach for
snorkeling, scuba diving, and enjoying one of the most beautiful
scenes on Maui.
One
of the most exhilirating activities you can do on the island
of Maui, is take the famous Drive To Hana. The town of Hana
is located on the eastern,
windward side of the island, but offers one of the most unique
drives you will ever make in a vehicle!
The
drive to the town of Hana zig-zags over 56 one-lane bridges
and around 617 switch-back curves. The road completely circles
Hakeakala Volcano and passes Maui's only winery.
The
drive is a full-day experience and is a photographer's dream
- splendid waterfalls, bamboo forests, fields of taro, and
both black and red sand beaches. You'll want to leave early
and plan accordingly for this experience!

communities on the island. It's a historic, sugar cane plantation
town that was founded by Baldwin and Alexander to support
the growing sugar trade on Maui.
Today,
it's a vibrant, quaint community of gift shops, clothing boutiques,
surf shops, Hawaiian-made gift store, and restaurants serving
a wide variety of fare. Visiting Maui? Drive to the North
