It's on the island of Lana, a short ferry ride from Lahaina
Harbor in Lahaina Town on the west side of Maui.

Beach on the south side of the island. In fact, it's just

to Lanai from Lahaina Harbor. It's a short 45-minute ride
to Manele Bay and makes a wonderful day trip.
The
giant green sea turtles
seen in water around Maui are one thing you might experience
while snorkeling at various locations. They are called Honu
in the Hawaiian language and are an endangered species.

Banyan
Tree in Lahaina on West Maui
The
town of Lahaina on the west side of Maui hosts one of the
largest and oldest Banyan Trees in the United States. Planted
in 1873, the tree covers the whole block and is covers over
225 feet. It is over 60 feet in the air.
The
Banyan Tree is located in the heart of Lahaina Town, and is
right across from the harbor. Lahaina
Town is a historic, whaling community that is know for
shopping, art galleries, jewelry stores and restaurants.
The
Banyan Tree has 12 major trunks coming from just one central
tree, and the branches spread-out in all directions forming
a mushroom-like canopy over the park.
During
the Christmas season, the tree is lit with thousand of Christmas
lights. It's also the home to numerous craft shows and special
Boat Days when cruise ships are visiting Maui.
When
visiting Maui, take a day and visit the Banyan Tree in the
National Historic Landmark town of Lahaina. It's a great way
to spend the day or evening!

of the most amazing places to visit on Maui - and on the planet!
The drive to Haleakala
National Park takes you through the beautiful "upcountry"
section of Maui. It's a leisure drive and is a must-see
location while visiting the island.
