Kaanapali
Beach Resort
Ideal
For Golf, Swimming, Shopping, Snorkeling, and Dining Among
Upscale Resorts
The
Kaanapali Beach Resort area and Black
Rock snorkeling spot are located on the west side of Maui,
which offers one of the nicest, longest, most family-oriented
beaches on all of Maui.
The
beaches are great place to spend the day and enjoy calm, crystal-clear
waters in the morning hours, and then have a nice lunch or
dinner in the afternoon or evening at one of the many outstanding
dining establishments.
The
Kaanapali Beach Resort area is oceanside of Hwy. 30 on the
west side
of Maui, just north of the Lahaina Town area of shops, art
galleries, and restaurants.
If
you're planning a visit to Kaanapali Beach Resort, here are
a few suggestions:
*
Visit Whaler's Village in the center of the Kaanapali Beach
Resort area. Whaler's Village
is a two-story shopping center with clothing boutiques, gift
stores, and a food court.
* Consider a light lunch or dinner at Hula
Grill or Leilani's in the
Whaler's Village part of the resort area. There is also a
new restaurant - Cane & Taro - that opened in late 2009.
*
Visit the Whale Museum at Whaler's Village, and learn more
about the North Atlantic Humpback Whales that annually visit
Maui. The museum
is free and it's ideal for young children.
There
is a paid parking garage at Whaler's Village, and it's much
less expensive than parking at the resorts.
Of
course, Kaanapali Beach Resort is filled with numerous resorts.
Have
a light lunch at The Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa - www.sheraton-maui.com
